Stephen J. Bailey is President of Operations Resources, Inc. His career spans over forty years in executive operations
management, and consulting on operations improvement and Industrial Engineering in a variety of companies and industries.
His success in each of the positions and assignments is characterized by the diversity of disciplines and skill sets applied.
Strategic initiatives lead to the design, construction, merging, and/or liquidation of six plants, the development and implementation
of advanced production processes involving Robotics and Vision Systems, and the development and transfer of technologies to
European subsidiaries. Materials Management projects included the selection and implementation of MRP (COPICS) and Enterprise
Wide (Symix) systems. Quality improvement programs encompassed the implementation and training on SPC systems, Total
Quality Awareness, and Employee Empowerment processes, all guided by a Continuous Improvement philosophy. Industrial
Engineering assignments have spanned such subjects as work measurement, work flow/plant layout analysis through computer simulations
and CAD, Capital justifications, automated warehousing and material handling systems deployment, and the design and project
management of the plant expansion of a restorer of semiconductor processing tools.
Steve’s formal education includes undergraduate studies at Eureka College, with a double major
in Business and Economics, and a Master degree in Economics at Illinois State University. His Professional and Civic
affiliations include chairing the local CASA chapter of SME, IIE membership, and past Chair of Kurtz Industries. Steve
is currently a board director of Via of the Lehigh Valley, the Bethlehem-based organization devoted to the support and service
of people with disabilities.
